Babette Francis

Babette Francis (1930 – ) journalist, organiser and lobbyist
Babette Francis is an independent journalist and regular columnist in local newspapers as well as several Australian magazines and for many years she worked for “Radio Australia”. In the 70 years, employed the founder of the “Endeavour Forum,” a Christian family lobby, with educational issues and feminism. It is considered an expert on the women’s movement at the international level.

Mrs. Francis is one of the founding members of Endeavour Forum Inc., a pro-life, pro-family Australian women’s NGO which has links with similar groups overseas. Endeavour Forum aims to enhance the status of the uniquely female and the traditional women’s roles and to counter the ideology of contemporary feminism whose adherents believe there are no differences between the sexes and that abortion on demand will pave the path to equality.

FamilyVoice Australia is an Australian conservative Christian organisation. It was known as Festival of Light Australia from 1973 to 2008. Its stated mission was to be “a Christian ministry to the nation, promoting true family values in the light of the wisdom of God”. The name was changed to FamilyVoice Australia on 1 July 2008 in order to eliminate confusion with the many other festivals or groups around the world called “Festival of Light” or “Festival of Lights”. Key activities of FamilyVoice Australia are providing information to supporters, churches and community leaders and lobbying on issues of concern. Babette and David Phillips were actively involved in the establishment at operation of these organisations.
